Stagetext are thrilled to see that ten out of the 11 winning theatre and musical productions at this year’s Olivier Awards offered captioned performances or have captioned productions in their upcoming schedule.

The winning productions, which are captioned by Stagetext or by trained in-house captioning teams, benefit d/Deaf, deafened or hard of hearing audiences.

One of the big winners at last night’s Olivier Awards, Hamilton, which walked away with seven awards, will have two captioned performances by Stagetext this October, with the prospect of more in the future.

Of all the theatre and musical productions which were nominated for an award this year a total of 77 per cent have either had a captioned performance or are scheduled to have one later this year, these include shows such as: Girl from the North Country, The Ferryman, Angels in America, Witness for the Prosecution, and Killology.

It’s not too late to catch some of these award-winning and nominated productions, we have the following captioned performances still to come:

Witness for the Prosecution (Nominated for “Best Revival”)
Captioned Performance – Tuesday, 15 May 2018, 7:30pm
