Outreach Project Co-ordinator – Freelance 

We’re looking for suitably qualified / experienced person for the Outreach Co-ordinator role to join Stagetext on a freelance basis for a 1-year project “Raising awareness of deaf access to arts and theatre in South East England’’.

You’ll coordinate talks by Stagetext Volunteer Ambassadors at deaf and older people’s groups, support volunteers, arranging access and collect data for evaluation.

 The ideal candidate will have:  

  • Lived experience of being deaf, deafened, or hard of hearing  
  • Experience working with volunteers and managing projects
  • A love of arts and culture  
  • Excellent communication skills  
  • Be comfortable travelling 
  • Commitment to deaf access 

Working as part of the small dedicated Stagetext staff team, this flexible role (57 days over 11 months) offers a £10,000 fixed fee, starting September 2024.  

A passion for arts and culture, excellent communication skills, and commitment to deaf access are essential.

Interviews: Wednesday 4th September 2024 at the Mercury Theatre in Colchester.
