Urinetown, The Musical image
Synopsis:

In a Gotham-like city, a severe water shortage caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities regulated by a megalomaniacal company, Urine Good Company, that profits by charging admission for one of humanity’s most basic needs.

Working in the filthiest restroom in town, a hero falls in love and decides he has had enough, planning a revolution to lead them all to freedom.

Winner of three Tony Awards, Urinetown is a hilarious musical satire about capitalism, social irresponsibility and environmental collapse. Both wickedly witty and touchingly honest, Hollmann and Kotis’s irreverent musical reinvigorates the idea of what a musical can be.
