We’re joined remotely by American filmmaker Marielle Heller whose credits includes The Diary of a Teenage Girl, Can You Ever Forgive Me?, A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood and this year’s comedy horror, Nightbitch.
 
American filmmaker Marielle Heller has proven herself a talented multi-hyphenate with acting, writing and directing credits to her name. Marking her writer-director debut with the frank and fearless The Diary of a Teenage Girl (2015), Heller’s most recent project sees another transformative adaption in the form of comedy horror Nightbitch (2024). With directorial credits including Can You Ever Forgive Me? (2018) and A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood (2019), this lecture is not to be missed.
