V&A

The changing climate in the UK presents numerous challenges for gardeners; just when you’ve adapted to one weather extreme, another arrives.

Join Matthew Pottage, Head of Horticulture at The Royal Parks and a regular on BBC Radio 4’s Gardeners’ Question Time, to explore how we can ensure that our parks and back-gardens flourish in this evolving world. And how, as gardeners, we can have a positive impact on nature.
He believes that horticulturists in the capital, both amateur and professional, can find opportunities even in these challenging times. "Great gardening has always been a blend of science and art," says Pottage, and with an understanding of soil and how plants flourish in warmer climates, the capital’s green spaces can find new ways and new plants to bring life, wonder, and a sense of calm to our city.
