Our Pashn podcast chat: why theatre accessibility matters

Our Pashn podcast chat: why theatre accessibility matters

We’re really excited to tell you that Stagetext has joined forces to work together with Pashn Media this year. They’re a media agency that works in entertainment, and over the next 12 months, they’ll be supporting us in reaching even more of the 18 million adults across the UK who are deaf, deafened or hard of hearing.

Our Head of Training and Theatre, Olivia Durkin, popped in to see them and had a lovely chat with Adam Hopkinson, Director of Pashn, on their podcast Let’s Do The Right Thing, about all things theatre, the importance of access to the arts, and why continued awareness and education is needed for the future.

Adam perfectly captured what this collaboration means when he said: “Stagetext’s mission aligns perfectly with our industry’s evolving focus on inclusivity and audience engagement. By supporting Stagetext, we aim to raise awareness and help drive real change in how media and live events cater to diverse audiences.”

“Through working with Stagetext, we hope to inspire our clients to consider accessibility not as an afterthought but as an integral part of their audience strategy. The demand for inclusivity is growing, and ensuring content is accessible to all is not just the right thing to do—it’s good business.”

You can be part of this conversation too. Listen to the full episode of Let’s Do The Right Thing or read the transcript to hear more about why accessibility matters. After all, the best conversations are the ones that keep going.
