I have been profoundly deaf since birth, and I can communicate using both speech and British Sign Language. I completed a degree in Deaf Studies and English Language at the University of Wolverhampton. Since then, I have worked and volunteered for various deaf organisations.
I love the theatre, particularly musicals, and I’ve used Stagetext’s captioning services for many years. I now have the pleasure of organising captioned performances for other deaf, deafened and hard-of-hearing patrons in venues across the country, so that they are able to enjoy the theatre too.
Although Stagetext only consists of a handful of staff, we’re all dedicated to improving access to theatre and the arts.
