An informal, fun, and supportive night for North East writers at all stages to meet each other and share new work, coming to Durham Book Festival for the first time on Friday 13th (for what promises to be a spooktacular evening). Think ‘scratch-night’ meets ‘literary salon’.
There will be three local scheduled readers, as well as open-mic slots up for grabs on the night and a writing contest to come up with the best curse! Bring a friend, a piece of writing, or just come along and enjoy listening to brand new work.
Hosted by Adam Sharp, who will read from his new book The Wheel is Spinning but the Hamster is Dead.
This event is a spin-off from our monthly Read Them Your Writes scratch night in Newcastle.
