Synopsis:

In this lively and hugely entertaining show, Ben and David Crystal bring to life some of Shakespeare’s many phrases still in everyday use.  
Drawing on the finest lines from the lesser-known corners of Shakespeare’s plays and poems, as found in their latest book Everyday Shakespeare, actor Ben and language expert David will show how these 400-year-old phrases still have immediate and easy resonance with modern everyday life.
 
The father-son team have co-authored several books on Shakespeare and their website www.ShakespearesWords.com is used by actors, students, teachers and Shakespeare lovers all over the globe.  
 
Ben Crystal is an actor, author, producer, and explorer of original practices in Shakespeare rehearsal and production. He is an Associate Artist with the Shakespeare North Playhouse, a Patron of Shakespeare Week, the founder of the international collective www.theShakespeareEnsemble.com and a consultant creative producer for Shakespeare companies around the world. Ben played Hamlet in the first Original Pronunciation production for 400 years. He is the author of several books on Shakespeare and is in great demand to give talks on Shakespeare’s language and craft.
David Crystal OBE is known worldwide as a writer, editor, lecturer and broadcaster on language. He has written or edited over 100 books, mostly in the field of language, and published numerous articles for scholarly, professional and general readerships on the history and development of English.
