Join London Arts and Health, Culture Health and Wellbeing Alliance and the Centre for the Humanities and Health, KCL, in a very special launch event on Monday 15th May from 7-9 pm to celebrate Creativity and Wellbeing Week 2023.
Hear from acclaimed author Michael Rosen read from his new book ‘Getting Better’ in which he explores themes of illness, recovery and the pandemic. Professor. Kevin Fenton (Public Health lead for London) will reflect on the role of Creativity in our Capital, and you will learn more about how Dr Marion Lynch and Paintings in Hospitals supported nurses through a unique project called ‘I’m Fine’. Tola Dabiri (the National Lead for Arts and Culture) from the National Academy of Social Prescribing will host a unique QA with all our guests in which you can learn more about Creative Health and our festival provocation. The event will be closed with a very special reading from Arji Manuelpillai who works as a poet, performer and creative health facilitator.
Please note, doors will open from 6.30 pm in order to get guests seated for a prompt 7 pm start.
This event is organised by London Arts and Health and the Culture, Health and Wellbeing Alliance in conjunction with Neil Vickers, Professor of English Literature and the Health Humanities at the Centre for the Humanities and Health, King’s College London.
