Jonathon Porritt, author of Hope in Hell, has decades of experience as a campaigner and is an eminent commentator on sustainable development. He is co-founder of Forum for the Future, a former director of Friends of the Earth and former co-chair of the Green Party.  
  
Hope in Hell asks us, in the wake of the pandemic, to promote economic recovery in a way that addresses the climate emergency.  
  
Campaigner and former academic Alice Bell co-runs the climate change charity Possible.
  
Her book Our Biggest Experiment: A History of the Climate Crisis chronicles the history of our understanding of climate change. Our ancestors have left us an almighty mess, but also tools for survival.
