Revealing Hidden Histories: Sharing our Stories

During 2021 four West Midlands museums have been exploring the hidden stories behind their collections
 
Every collection has objects with complex or sometimes contentious stories. These are often the areas that we find difficult to talk about with our visitors. The Revealing Hidden Histories programme was developed to support museums to increase their knowledge, understanding and confidence in making these objects more accessible to their audiences.
 
Join Aston Hall, Barber Institute of Fine Art, Shropshire Museum Service and The Soldiers of Shropshire Museum as they share their experiences of taking a different perspective on their collections. We will also be joined by members of the team from Colchester Museum who will share their experiences of developing a community led project to tell the untold stories of their collections.

Maximum of 2 delegates per organsation. Priority will be given to delegates from non-NPO and non-National museums in the West Midlands which are Accredited or officially Working Towards Accreditation.
