or over 60 years, Shakespeare at The George have produced an annual play by William Shakespeare in the open air in the Jacobean courtyard of The George Hotel.
Since 2015, our "In the Parlour" shows have given a chance to explore the work of other playwrights and provide even more opportunities for the development of the skills needed to put on theatrical productions of the highest possible quality.
As part of our commitment to accessible theatre for all, we host Stagetext (kindly supported the Evelyn Glennie Foundation) and Touch Tour nights during our summer show runs. Please see the events listings below for dates.
