Synopsis:

In partnership with the UK Academy of Medical Sciences, the US National Academies of Sciences and Medicine and The World Academy of Sciences, the Royal Society is hosting a three-part series of online events looking ahead to the 2023 Third International Summit on Human Genome Editing.
A year out from the Summit, the events will focus on the key topics of the Summit’s agenda, including discussion of the recent reports from the International Commission on the Clinical use of Heritable Human Genome Editing and the WHO Expert Advisory Committee on Developing Global Standards for Governance and Oversight of Human Genome Editing. Presentations will be followed by panel discussions. Some presentations will be pre-recorded, and available to watch ahead of the events.
Registration for these events is not needed. All three events will be live streamed and will be available to watch afterwards. Access to the livestreams and recorded presentations will be available on this event page shortly.
