Take a closer look at the Museum’s collection of rare drawings by Katsushika Hokusai with Tim Clark, Honorary Research Fellow of the British Museum, and a team of experts.
Discussed in the context of ongoing collaborative international research, Sarah Thompson (Museum of Fine Arts, Boston), John Carpenter (The Metropolitan Museum of Art) and Frank Feltens (Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art) will each draw on their knowledge of Hokusai and briefly introduce related drawings by the artist in the collections they curate.
Tim Clark will also discuss the Japanese artist’s work with Asano Sh?g? (Director of the Museum Yamato Bunkakan, Nara), a leading Hokusai specialist in Japan.
