Diversity Development Pilot 2: DYCP advice session image
Synopsis:

Our North Diversity team have partnered with Black-led creative agency Big People Music to deliver the Diversity Development Pilot; a series of bespoke online advice and creative consultancy sessions to support and encourage applicants for our main programme, National Lottery Project Grants (NLPG) and our programme for individuals, Developing your Creative Practice (DYCP). The pilot will also provide more information about our National Portfolio Organisations (NPOs) and will help you to develop your arts project and ideas.

The dates for all three sessions are as follows:

Wednesday 2nd February at 10.30am -12pm – NLPG advice session

Wednesday 9th February at 10.30am -12pm – DYCP advice session

Wednesday 23rd February at 10.30am -12pm – Developing your Arts Business and learning about National portfolio organisations (NPOs).

This project has been designed for Black, Asian and ethnically diverse artists and organisations based in the North of England. The event is free to attend and will take place online, on Zoom.

What is this online sessions about?

You will hear from colleagues from our North Diversity Team who will deliver advice presentations about Developing your Creative Practice. Advice will cover:

• Help and tips on how to write a successful application

• Breakdown each section of the application process and its requirements

• Answer questions in relation to your individual goals, projects or ideas

Participants will also have the opportunity to submit their project idea to us. The 5 strongest creative project ideas will receive 1-1 consultancy from Big People Music on how to strengthen their idea and prepare it ready to submit for funding.

Why should I attend?

We want to create a safe space for artists of the global majority, to engage and learn about ACE’s offer as a development agency. Also, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there are important changes to these funds that we want to let you know about. Whether you are a first-time applicant, haven’t even considered applying to these programmes, or have applied multiple times, we want to help answer any questions you may have, and to encourage you to consider applying.

How do I join the session?

The event will be hosted via Zoom and for the best user experience, we recommend using the Zoom desktop app. After registering for a free ticket on Eventbrite, you will receive an email before the event with joining details.
