Sleep takes up a third of our lives and plays a critical role in our social, emotional and intellectual development. But how do our brains know when to sleep? And what does light have to do with it? In this event, psychologist Nayantara Santhi joins journalist and author Linda Geddes to explore the relationship between light, circadian rhythms, sleep and mental functions. In-conversation they will discuss the science of sleep, why when we sleep is as important as how well we sleep, the impact poor sleep has on our lives and wellbeing, and how changing our exposure to light can improve our sleep-wake cycle.
