Talk Online I Learn Live: Life Writing - Family History Research

Online I Learn Live: Life Writing - Family History Research

Synopsis

How do I piece together the history of my family while I am trapped in the house? How do I fill in the gaps and silences, and uncover the various personalities? Where do I go to find records of births, marriages and deaths?

And what if my family story contains no ups and downs, no narrative grip, no drama? This last question, our tutor Frances Wilson will show, is never the case: every family history, like every family, contains a trunkful of dramas. Learn how to feel your way into your own past, and find the stories that lie buried.

This course takes place on Zoom and we will email you a joining link the day before. There will be an opportunity to ask Frances questions during a Q&A, and have conversations with your fellow participants in virtual breakout rooms.

This event will have live subtitles provided by Stagetext, delivered by MyClearText.
