Talk Online I Learn Live: African Women Writers

Online I Learn Live: African Women Writers

Synopsis

Critically examine the work of three African Women Writers on our online course.

This is a three week course, taking place on Thursdays 11, 18 and 25 March 2021.

Join us for our series considering the work of three African Women Writers. Across three weeks we will discuss Woman at Point Zero by Nawal El Saadawi; Nervous Conditions by Tsitsi Dangarembga and Second-Class Citizen by Buchi Emecheta.

Each session will consist of a presentation by our tutor, Dr Louisa Egbunike, followed by a discussion. The session will engage with the novel’s central themes and present key critical responses. You will have the opportunity to ask Louisa questions in a Q&A session, and you’ll do close reading exercises and discuss your own responses to the text with other participants in online break-out rooms.

This short course will take place on Zoom and the link to the Zoom call will be emailed to you one hour before the course begins.

This event will have live subtitles provided by Stagetext, delivered by MyClearText.
