Synopsis

Come and celebrate the publication of ‘How We Die is How We Live Only More So’, a collection of writing exploring vulnerability and intimacy, death and dying in the digital era, and the politics of illness.

The event will include:

  • A spoken-word performance by Imani Robinson.
  • A lecture by T J Demos.
  • A Q & A with Oreet Ashery and the other contributors, chaired by George Vasey.

Oreet Ashery (b.1966 Jerusalem) is a UK-based interdisciplinary artist whose practice includes time-based image, performance, text, sound and music.

George Vasey is co-curator of the ‘Misbehaving Bodies’ exhibition.

Imani Robinson is a London-based writer, live art practitioner, plant lover and prison abolitionist.

T J Demos is an award-winning writer and professor of visual culture at University of California, Santa Cruz, and Director of its Center for Creative Ecologies.
