Concert pianist Anthya Rael’s vivid memoir relates how the momentous historical events of her childhood in 1930s South Africa, her considerable musical gifts, and a family eager for her to achieve her enormous potential, led her to pursue her studies in post-war London. Also a magical love story, Anthya married the violinist Raymond Cohen, and is mother to the cellist Robert Cohen and violinist Gillian Cohen. The event will be punctuated with musical interludes.
