Andrew Scott makes his Almeida debut in the title role and Juliet Stevenson plays Gertrude in a new production directed by Almeida Associate Director Robert Icke (1984; Mr Burns; Oresteia; Uncle Vanya).

These performances are part of the Hamlet for Free festival, a  4-day festival of workshops, masterclasses and performancees for under 25s, completely inspired by the making of Hamlet.

The line-up includes acting, directing and writing masterclasses, panel discussions, interactive performances, behind the scenes tours and practical workshops. Young people will have the chance to learn from leading industry professionals including Almeida Artistic Director Rupert Goold, award-winning spoken word artist Polarbear, immersive theatre-makers Coney, actor Jacob Anderson aka Raleigh Ritchie, poet Vanessa Kisuule plus members of the Hamlet cast. The full schedule will be available soon with tickets available to book from 13 March.
