Beethoven declared that his encroaching deafness would have led him to end his life had it not been for his art. The Musical Brain brings together experts from the worlds of music and medical science in a weekend of illustrated talks, discussions and performances to consider how Beethoven’s deafness affected his music and how music and the other arts can help us rise above adversity..
The conference will have sign language interpretation and live speech-to-text transcription.
