Synopsis

Join Sarah Scott, former Disability Policy Officer at Arts Council England and signed song performer, to look back at the history of the Disability Arts Movement in the UK. Just what was going on? Where did it come from? What impact has it had on the artworld we see today? With panellists including Tony Heaton, Chief Executive of Shape, Jenny Sealey MBE, Artistic Director of Graeae and co-director of the Paralympics opening and closing ceremonies, and Sian Vasey, now Director of Ealing Centre for Independent Living who was a member of the London Disability Arts Forum Steering Group, all of whom were there back at the very beginning.
