The Real Me
It is 1951. Albert has just come down from Oxford with a first. Girls have flocked to his 21st birthday party. Albert exchanges looks with Jimmy, a waiter and his perfect life is never the same again.
It is 2011. Albert looks back on the torn fabric of a life half lived when Jimmy walks back in.
Danny Braverman presents a scratch performance of:
Wot? No Fish!!
In 1926, Ab Solomons brought his wage packet home for his wife Celie. As a token of his love, he doodled on the packet. From that day on, Ab drew Celie a cartoon every week. This solo show is the first public sharing of Ab’s remarkable art, by a performer with a unique connection to the story.
