A Flea in her Ear - Captioned in-house at Old Vic Theatre, London
By Fiorenzo Cecere
The Old Vic’s production of A Flea in Her Ear is a well-directed and fast-paced farce about a case of mistaken identity, which had the audience rocking with laughter. It is, indeed, one of the funniest productions I have ever seen. It is akin to being on a rollercoaster: after a gentle start, it suddenly moves with haste, delighting us with many twists and turns. A special mention must go to its star, Tom Hollander, who plays two identical characters; his constant costume changes and the way he alternates between his two characters had us in awe and breathless. Many special thanks to the captioner, who deftly coped with the rapid-fire dialogue.
