Every word counts

Pride at Trafgalar square

By Michelle goodwin

I’ve been to numerous pride outdoor events all around the world but mainly in Dublin as I’m from Ireland. I thought it was an excellent idea having the captions and interpreter shown on the big screen as usually I go to the ‘disabled’ excluding area at the front which is actually quite embarrassing as it’s the only place I could see the interpreter up close!

Having said that- I found one annoying thing at this Pride - the swinging overhead camera at the stage area as its stick blocking my view. True, I could be moved elsewhere but I was with a group of people so it would mean asking them all to move.

Otherwise a fantastic service!
