Are you friendly, organised, have a passion for the arts and access? We're looking for someone who can talk to d/Deaf groups and work with individuals, ensuring our work reaches new audiences across the UK.
Stagetext has a part time, two days a week maternity cover role for one year starting in September/October 2019. A full handover will be provided.
The successful candidate will be Stagetext’s leading advocate in developing d/Deaf audiences for both theatre captioning and live speech to text events within Theatres, Museums and Galleries. Through your knowledge of Stagetext’s services you will be a key influencer in persuading potential new audience members to experience arts access.
You will be confident when talking to local interested community groups, organisational partners as well as individuals who may benefit from using captions and live subtitles. You will also recruit new ambassadors to volunteer their time, spreading the word about Stagetext in their local areas. Using your existing contacts and researching new opportunities you will deliver a programme of outreach talks and demonstrations, attending conferences and open days raising awareness of Stagetext and how it can change people’s lives.
If you love the arts in all its forms including theatre, museums and galleries, love talking to people - especially d/Deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people and have exceptional planning and administrative skills, we want to meet you.
Salary: £28,939 p.a pro rata, plus 3% pension contribution and 25 day pro rata holiday provision.
